I’m guessing it’s a sediment bulb from an old tractor. I think it held the sediment from the fuel so it didn’t get in the motor.

Patti: Wow! Assuming you’re right, you’re really knowledgeable about a lot of these things. I was going to guess this was a kerosene headlamp on a really old automobile.
